Remuda Building Ltd., is seeking a highly responsible and self-motivated individual with construction/senior project management experience to fill the role of Construction Manager.

Remuda Building is a builder headquartered 20 km East of Calgary in Rocky View County, Alberta. The business was founded in 2014 to better serve the needs of customers who wanted a broader range of services related to the construction of post frame buildings. Today, Remuda is known across the prairies for quality post frame buildings, for unique finishing’s and distinct designs, and for extraordinary customer service. You will be accountable for:

  • Achieve the project budget and meet or exceed target net margin
  • Monitor and manage project timelines, milestones, and scheduling
  • Prepare detailed construction schedules, weekly tracking, and monthly reporting
  • Deliver scope while meeting or exceeding design and client’s quality, fit and finish expectations
  • Coach, motivate, and facilitate the construction team and suppliers to achieve project budget, scope, retention, and scheduling
  • Communicate and enforce Remuda safety practices and follow reporting practices
  • Maintain contractual issues and deficiencies resolutions within 30 days from tenant/client occupancy
  • Analyze, interpret, and execute action on cost forecasts
  • Identify suitable service offerings and recommendations for clients

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction and project management with a general contractor on residential/ commercial/agriculture projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices and techniques
  • Ability to analyze plans, specifications, and proposals
  • Knowledge of Alberta and Canadian Construction Regulations
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with construction software
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve alongside teammates and independently
  • Ability to make difficult decisions in a timely and responsible manner
  • Strong work ethic and leadership amongst team members
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation to travel to sites including out-of-town sites
