Wood posts are a great structural system, but unprotected wood poses risks to a construction project. Moisture, bacteria, and weather can cause the wood to decay.
Remuda Building uses Grade Guard post-protectors to protect areas where wood is vulnerable — 6″ above grade to 18″ below grade — and ensure the building’s longevity. The 30″ Grade Guard is simply positioned on the treated post so its top edge is 4″-6″ above grade, or finished floor grade.
